Forgiveness
Eric Smallridge had gotten 2 DUI's for drinking and driving and he was also charged with manslaughter. One day when Eric was drinking and driving he crashed into a car where it contained both Megan and Lisa. This car crash killed them both. He was sentenced for 22 years in prison and Megan's mother, Renee, thought that that was what he deserved. She thought that justice was done for both Megan and Lisa. At that time Renee really disliked Eric for what he did. Later, the judge cut his 22 years in prison to half because of this women. Eric had apologized to Renee for what he has done and Renee decided to forgive him and she told the judge to cut his years in half. Renee decided to forgive him because she said that he really meant his apology and she said that forgiving him will do good for both of them. Eric knew that he deserved all those years but he felt that there was a weight lifted off his shoulder when Renee forgave him. Soon after both Renee and Eric started talking in schools, trying to teach the students that drinking and driving is bad and that there will be consequences. Eric was finally let out off prison and he was finally free and Renee was too because she didn't hold a grudge against him and they both continued speaking at schools.
