Interdisciplinary Project Showcase

Interdisciplinary Project Showcase

I feel like our Interdisciplinary Project Showcase went great. I remember when our English teacher would talk about it months before she even assigned us the project. I remember being a little scared because i knew it was going to be a big project that's going to take a lot of time and effort. When she finally put us in groups and we chose a topic, which was anemia, i knew that i had to try my best. I was assigned the expo in the power point and i was suppose to explain why iron was a safer treatment for anemia in our essay. We did have to change a lot of things in our project but it turned out great. Before the actual presentation which was on a Thursday, we had a practice presentation on Tuesday. We did have to dress up nice on Tuesday as well. When it was our turn to go up and present, i was nervous but once i continued talking, i wasn't that nervous anymore. I worked really hard on memorizing what i was suppose to say. On the actual day of the showcase i remember going home and practicing my lines. When i came back to school i find out that one of the members of the groups wasn't here and we only had two minutes before presenting. Since we thought she wasn't going to come we decided to try and memorize what she had to say, but luckily she did come. When we were in Figueroa's class ready to present that's when i got super nervous because there was a lot of people staring. Once we started i kind of got over that anxiety and i feel like everyone in our group did their very best. The panel and the teachers said we did really good so that made us proud. The showcase was fun but nerve-racking. it was a good experience.
