What Thomas S. Monson is trying to say it that you shouldn't be scared to stand on your own. You shouldn't follow the wrong crowd. You have the choose the right and make the right decisions. You shouldn't do something just because everyone else is doing it. Be on your own, don't depend on others. When you depend and follow others they're probably only going to lead you to the wrong path. It's always better to stand alone, because that way you will know what decisions to make. For example, if your friends are going to go smoke or drink, you don't have to follow them. You can always stand alone on what you decide is right. Smoking is drinking is bad so don't be afraid to be only one that says no. Stand up for your thoughts and feelings. If you decide to do the right thing, don't worry about what other people have to say. As long as you know that you chose the right.

Reflection: I agree with this quote because it is completely true. When you do wrong you can't be right at all because you obviously did something wrong. When do something right, you can't be wrong because you did something good not bad. For example, when you do your homework it is not wrong because you did what you were suppose to do, so you did right. When you don't do your homework, there is nothing right about that, you did wrong. So I agree with this quote.

"Obedience is the great test of life."

I agree with this quote because it's true. Obedience is the most important test of life because that shows how you are as a person. When you're obedient, that demonstrates that you're a good person because you paid attention. When you're not obedient it shows that you don't care. That's why when you're obedient you automatically pass the test. For example, when you're obedient and do all your homework and classwork, you're going to pass the test because you did what you were suppose to do.

I think this quote means that it doesn't matter if someone is ahead of you in something what really matter is that you're comfortable at where you are. There shouldn't be a competition between yourself and others because you have to do thinks that will help you be ahead and not do things that will make you be ahead of others. Everyone is different so at some point they're going to be different than you at something. that doesn't mean that you should try and have a competition, stay on your own pace and do what helps you be ahead of yourself. I agree with this quote so much because it's true because it's better to follow your own lead than others. You should just be yourself.

I think this quote means that all the decisions you make in your life can either benefit or affect your future. If you make bad decisions as a young adult, the consequences can affect your later life. If you make good decisions then there’s a big chance that you can benefit from that decision in the future. That’s why its better to make good decisions because that’s going to help you.
